Capital Courts Training Centre has been instrumental in the training and development of many young female athletes in the Ottawa region and surrounding communities. To enable the continued progress and growth of this specific group of athletes, Capital Courts took the next step with the launch of Capital Courts Academy . CCA is hosted at Cairine Wilson Secondary School in Orleans, Ontario in close proximity to the training centre. CCA provides student-athletes with a one-stop training environment on par with the top preparatory programs in North America. Our athletes have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive high-level program that will support both academic and basketball goals. We compete in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association and we believe that we have the right developmental resources to bring our players to the next level.
CCA has adopted the same philosophy as Capital Courts Training Centre. Development is the centrepiece of everything we do. Many of the players we inherit are coming from different training and playing environments so we try to instil our method of technical, tactical, mental and social development. If there is comprehensive development, medals and championships may follow however if it does not, our athletes will be well-prepared for what they will face at the next level.
We're very proud to be the first Ottawa-Carleton District School Board institution to host a sports academy and very pleased to be associated with Capital Courts Academy.
CCA allows me to be the best version of myself while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. As an academically driven athlete, I find the schedule allows me to excel in both domains of school and basketball, which is very important for me.

CCA has definitely delivered on their word. My girl arrives home happy every day. The support that she receives from the principal, teachers and trainers is exceptional. The program is structured to support each athlete's unique requirements in class or on the court. Having my daughter around people who care about who she is as a person, gives us confidence in her decision to attend CCA.
