Born in Kemptville Ontario, Jeremy Benoit developed a passion for sports and physical activity at a young age. He played multiple sports (Basketball, Hockey Golf and Soccer at the varsity and competitive level throughout his scholastic career. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from Laurentian University, and defended his research thesis in the field of biomechanics and injury prevention. Jeremy went on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach and active member of the NSCA. Early on in Jeremys career he assisted in developing young athletes in his role as Head Sport Performance Coach at Fitquest in Ottawa, Ontario. He worked in this role for 3 years, and trained athletes of all ages in a variety of sports at the competitive level. Later, Jeremy accepted a role as the Head of Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Belleville Senators Hockey club, after many years of assisting with the NHL team. While working within this organization, he had the opportunity to work alongside coaches, doctors, therapists, and nutritionists to help cultivate an environment of development and success, as well as a well-rounded approach to strength and conditioning. Over the last 3 years, Jeremy has had a vital role in assisting AHL players to achieve their goals of playing in the National Hockey league. These experiences have given Jeremy the ability to become Owner and Director of Performance of his sport performance business, “Benoit Elite Performance”. Jeremy takes pride in creating an environment for athletes to achieve their goals and further their athletic development by focusing on all facets of player performance.
