Kerra​ attended Acadia University where she earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree followed by a Bachelors of Education Degree at Lakehead University. Kerra landed a full time teaching job at Cairine Wilson Secondary School in 2007 where she has taught numerous subjects and grade levels. While at Cairine Wilson, she facilitated many different extracurricular programs that directly linked to character development among high school students. One of her many passions is coaching basketball and mentoring student athletes as they navigate through their teenage years. Over the years, she has coached both junior and senior boys and girls programs at Cairine Wilson, winning multiple city championships and attending OFSAA with these teams. She has run numerous basketball clinics, camps, and developmental programs. As an experienced and award-winning Ontario teacher, Kerra is able to help provide the academic and personal support that  CCA students need to achieve their personal goals and dreams as student-athletes.
