Born in Ottawa, ON, Lauren grew up playing basketball in Orleans with the Gloucester Wolverines winning a AAA Division 1 championship in 2005 (the first Ottawa team to ever do so at the time). She went on to play at the University of Ottawa for one year and graduated with an Honours Degree in Social Sciences with a Specialization in Public Administration. Lauren continued on to play for Algonquin College in 2012-2014 where she helped the team win their third and fourth consecutive Ontario championships. Lauren began her coaching career with Algonquin through the CCAA Apprentiship Program under the leadership of Head Coach Laura Bond and never looked back! Since then, Lauren has coached both the Talent Identification Development Program on behalf of Ontario Basketball as well as the Ontario Summer Development Program where she lead her team to an Ontario Summer Games bronze medal. She then was appointed Head Coach of Ottawa Elite Basketball Program (juel prep) from 2018-2020 and took a leave of absence to grow her family, welcoming her son Ashton with her Fiancé Eric in December 2020. Lauren is passionate about basketball and developing young female athletes both on and off the court and is looking forward to her own personal growth and development under Fabienne's leadership.
